Syndico were extremely proud and honoured to welcome Mr. Chen Qingzhou, founder and owner of Hytera Communications Corporation Ltd, to our UK headquarters on 13th July 2018.
Hytera was born in Shenzhen in 1992, operating with just a handful of employees. Fast-forward to 2018 and Hytera’s global operations, overseen by Mr. Chen and his close-knit management team, are run by in excess of 10,000 employees across 50 subsidiaries. Hytera has been a constant driving force behind the recent advancements in the PMR industry; having reported revenue of 5.4 billion RMB Yuan in 2017 – up 56% year-on-year – the mandate of “do it best, or not at all” advocated by Hytera’s leader has been a significant factor underpinning the company’s continual success on the world stage.
Upon his arrival in Southampton, Mr. Chen was greeted by Syndico’s Managing Director, Andrew Wilson; Operations Director, Shona Barnett; and Board of Directors. After being shown around the office, warehouse and technical training facilities, Andrew delivered a presentation to Mr. Chen on Syndico’s operational model as Hytera’s UK and France distribution partner, as well as updating him on UK dealers’ responsiveness to Hytera’s recent technological developments and showcasing how Syndico’s recent operational investments have improved our distribution service even further.
Speaking about the visit from Hytera’s Chairman and President, Andrew commented: “This is obviously a monumental occasion for Syndico, certainly one of the defining moments for our company to date. Mr. Chen’s visit was aptly timed, as it is just over a year since Syndico was named as Hytera’s ‘Global Distributor of the Year’ – it is great that he has now seen first-hand how we operate and how our company has evolved over time. One thing he was really impressed with was the synergy of our team, even commenting on the layout of our office and warehouse spaces! We are extremely grateful to Mr. Chen and his fantastic team for giving up the time to visit Syndico, and we hope to see him again in the very near future.”
During his visit to Syndico’s headquarters, Mr. Chen was accompanied by Mr. Yang Zhang (Director of Oversees Development, Hytera Corporation Ltd), Mr. GeeSiong Kok (Senior Vice President R&D, Hytera Corporation Ltd), Ms. Pan Xu (International Affairs Specialist, Hytera Corporation Ltd) and Mr. M.K. Wong (Managing Director, Hytera UK).
